Western Dry Rocks Wildlife Management Area
Located 10 nautical miles southwest of Key West, this 1-square-mile zone is in effect seasonally from April 1–July 31 when multi-fish spawning aggregations take place. During this time, only continuous transit without interruption is allowed, and anchoring is prohibited This sanctuary zone aligns with a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission seasonal fishing closure during the same time period.
