Maritime Heritage Partnerships
Partnerships are a mainstay of the National Marine Sanctuary System. We work together with federal and state agencies, universities, scientists, educators, non-profit organizations, museums, and others who support our mission and goals. Without these partnerships, many of the wonders and history of Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary would still be a mystery.
Many individuals and organizations have contributed to maritime heritage documentation and artifact conservation in Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, including those listed below:
- Diving With a Purpose Maritime Archaeology Training
- East Carolina University Program in Maritime Studies
- Florida Division of Historical Resources - Underwater Archaeology
- Florida Public Archaeology Network Southeast
- Indiana University Center for Underwater Science
- Maritime Archaeological and Historical Society
- Naval History and Heritage Command, Underwater Archaeology Branch
- Office of National Marine Sanctuaries, Maritime Heritage Program
