Northeast Tarpon Belly Wildlife Management Area
The Tarpon Belly Keys are a set of small islands north of Cudjoe Key that were once the site of a shrimp farming facility. Nearby, a tiny mangrove island is home to nesting and roosting sites for reddish egrets and other wading birds, for which a 16-acre no motor zone is established to decrease wildlife disturbance.
Special regulations apply here. Learn more about what activities are allowed in this type of zone.
