Cottrell Key Wildlife Management Area
Cottrell Key is one of three mangrove islands 9 miles northwest of Key West within the Key West National Wildlife Refuge. A no entry zone of 300 feet surrounds Cottrell Key and Little Mullet Key with a no motor zone around the nearby big Mullet Key Cottrell Key is home to a variety of wading birds and mangrove terrapins (Malaclemys terrapin rhizophorarum). The wildlife management area is just 56 acres in size.
